What is custom and bespoke jewellery?
Unlike ready-made pieces, custom or bespoke jewellery let you create something truly personal, with every element (metal, gemstones, details) carefully chosen.
Custom Jewellery: adapts an existing design to your preferences - like changing the metal, stone or small details - so it feels personal while following a base design.
Bespoke Jewellery: designed entirely from scratch around your story and style, resulting in a one-of-a-kind piece highly personalised to you.

Is there a minimum acceptable budget?
Most of our custom pieces start from $3,000-$4,000, and bespoke pieces start from $6,000.
As a guide, the typical range for:
- Engagement rings: start from $5,000 - $20,000+
- Wedding rings: start from $1,800 - $4,000+
We recommend a starting budget of $3,000 - $4,000 to source quality materials and craft something meaningful. However, for simpler designs or 9k/14k gold pieces, we may be able to work with a smaller budget. Simply reach out and we'll guide you through what's possible.

When should I start the custom/bespoke process?
Our custom or bespoke pieces usually take 6-8 weeks from consultation to completion. If you have a proposal date or special occasion, starting 8-12 weeks ahead ensures time for sourcing stones and refining your design.

What metals do you work with?
We mostly work with 18k solid gold (yellow, white, and rose) and platinum 950, for its ideal balance of beauty and durability. However, depending on your budget and metal preference, we can also work with 9k or 14k solid gold.

do you work with natural or lab diamonds?
Yes. We primarily work with GIA certified natural diamonds, and IGI certified lab-grown diamonds. We're happy to guide you through the benefits of each, so you can choose the option that best aligns with your values, budget, and aesthetic.

Do you work with coloured gemstones or coloured diamonds?
Absolutely! We work with
- Natural gemstones (sapphires, padparadscha sapphires, emeralds, rubies, spinels, and more).
- Natural fancy coloured diamonds
- Lab created fancy coloured diamonds
If you have a particular hue or feeling in mind, we source options tailored to you.

I already have a diamond/centre stone - can i still create a ring with byotto?
Yes! Whether it is an heirloom, a reset, or a special piece you have in your collection, as long as the stone is in good condition and suitable for setting. We'll carefully inspect each stone first, then design a piece that celebrates what you already have.

What if I don't like the final product?
Our design process is intentionally collaborative. You'll see sketches, stones, and 3D renders before we begin crafting, ensuring you're confident in the design. Once production begins, the piece is final, but our process is designed so you fall in love with it long before that point.

What is your return policy for custom/bespoke pieces?
Because each piece is custom-made just for you, all custom and bespoke orders are final sale. We're always here to help with resizing or minor adjustments after your piece is finished.
